Kuura

This is Kuura, which means frost in Finnish. It's been a while since I last time created my own character.

Kuura is a spirit of winter. She awakes from her slumber in the autumn when weather becomes colder. In the early autumn she is mainly active during night and in the early morning when temperature drops below 15°C.

Kuura adores beauty but to her beauty is frost, ice and snow. In the autumn she will cover plant and surfaces in the frost. But sun will melt her work since she is not strong enough jet.
Her presence will become more imminent as the temperature drops closer or below to zero. Then Kuura will be able to create snow and ice. She can also sustain her work much better. Her powers are strongest in the midwinter or when it's very cold, even in the early summer if temperature drops below zero at night.

She loves to create beautiful landscapes. Sometimes she cloaks large areas completely in opaque white frost which will cover all other colours. This will create stunning winter scenes.

Kuura will leave behind hidden secrets for those who know where to look for them. These can be particularly pretty snow flakes in the window, plants covered in rime only visible short time after sunrise or leaves frozen in the ice of the lake.
She likes to hide her work from humans as they have tendency to interfere. Puny humans will scrape her creations from their car's windows, walk on the crust of snow thus ruining it's surface or shake snow of from tree branches although she spent so much time arranging snow onto them.

Kuura's fur reflects the colours displayed on frost, snow or ice around her. In this drawing she is presented in the light of the setting sun in midwinter. Her mane however is always light greyish blue. Thus sometimes only clearly visible part of her because when there is no frost, snow or ice around she has transparent white colour.
She can also be seen transformed into a shape of ice or snow. Her silhouette can be seen in a snow storm or in a whirl of snow dancing around in a wind.

She is most likely seen in a sunlight or moonlight. When it's cloudy she stays hidden. Kuura is active when it's cold outside but prefers chilling sunny winter days, starry nights and the blue hour when there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. She hates dull gray weather and lightless nights.
